Solutions/Homeowners (1-5 acre)
Homeowners (1-5 acre)
On 1 to 5 acres, you want one seat, not a shed full of machines. A Select Series tractor mows the whole property in summer, then takes a Quick-Hitch blade or blower when the driveway drifts shut. We set these up both ways every year.

The reason a Select Series works for this job is the Quick-Hitch system. The mower deck comes off and a blade or blower goes on without a shop visit, so the machine you already maintain handles the driveway too. That keeps one engine, one battery and one set of filters in your life instead of three. We show Customers the changeover in the driveway so nobody is learning it during the first storm.

On an acre with tight beds and gates, a 42-in. deck turns easier and stores smaller. Past two or three open acres, the 48-in. deck cuts your mowing time noticeably and still fits most yards we walk. The X350 adds power steering and a heavier build, which most Customers appreciate most in winter when they are steering a loaded blade. Tell us your acreage and obstacles and we will point to one.

Choose by your driveway, not by the snowfall. A Quick-Hitch front blade is simple, fast and forgiving on gravel, and it angles to windrow snow off to one side, which works when you have somewhere to push it. A Quick-Hitch snow blower is the answer on long paved drives, uphill runs, or where snow has to be thrown clear of a sidewalk or a bank. Some Customers run both.

Every machine here earns its place on the trailer. Tell us the job and we will spec the shortest kit that covers it.

Your mowing machine for the growing season and the base for every winter attachment. A solid choice for 1 to 3 acres with trees and beds to work around.

With the Quick-Hitch system it is a driveway job, not a shop job, and most Customers get it down to a few minutes after doing it once or twice. We walk you through the first changeover when you take delivery. Our technicians are trained on these machines if you ever want it checked over.
For a 1 to 5 acre property with a house drive and walks, yes, and that is what most of our Customers here use. Match the attachment to the surface and the length of the run, and add tire chains and weight for hills. Very long or steep commercial-length drives are where we start talking about a compact tractor instead.
A front blade, in most cases. It is more forgiving when the surface moves and it is easier to float over loose stone. Blowers are better once the drive is paved or the snow has nowhere left to go.
