Two Bloomington Options, One Honest Comparison

We bought our used mower from Koenig Bloomington several years ago and have it serviced every year. We couldn’t be happier with our service. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable. We are lucky to have them in our area!

Great selection, friendly staff, great service. I wanted to say thanks to the Manager (Craig) for taking great care of me while I was there to purchase a Gator. Craig took the time to walk me through all the features and options to make sure I got the product I needed. I will definitely continue to take my business there.

The employees at Koenig Equipment have been great! They come pick up the tractor each winter and give it some much needed maintenance and then bring it back to me oiled and greased, working like it’s brand new. Everyone at Koenig in Bloomington are very knowledgeable about the John Deere products and are extremely helpful in all things John Deere.

A quick review, followed by a detailed review if you want more information. (It's all good!) The short version: I purchased a Ventrac 4520N with a rough cut mower deck: I was delighted to find a nearby dealer (Koenig) that carried the Ventrac brand. I had been following various online videos that caught my attention and quickly convinced me this was the answer to my unmet property-maintenance needs. I was impressed with the Koenig (Bloomington) dealership from the first call and subsequent in-person interactions with the staff. The salesman (Craig) was great at being rapid to respond to my every question and concern. He quickly did everything he said he would do...from quickly writing up a purchase offer to introducing me to the people who service these machines. He offered an onsite demo, which is very impressive. I appreciated the offer but accepted a quick drive at the dealership and I was "sold" and ready to buy. He arranged a prompt delivery and I was using it within 24 hours. Follow-up contacts were appreciated and I have had zero complaints. I recommend Koenig and Craig with confidence and enthusiasm. More info if you are still reading: Ventrac is a unique product. I did a lot of research as I tried to find a better method of property maintenance for not only my large yard work to woodland clearing and fencerow overgrowth. I shopped three different vendors. The first two were somewhat unimpressive in their lack of product knowledge. It was evident that their main sales efforts were on the construction equipment and farm machinery sales. They did not have ready answers to my questions. And in some cases no product on site to see. When I found that a local Koenig dealership carried Ventrac and had inventory on site, I was pleasantly surprised how close to home it was. It was immediately evident that they were on top of things representing Ventrac quite well. I dealt with Craig who has a superb handle on the Ventrac machine and all of the many attachments. In fact he owns one himself and can answer any question due to his personal experience with the products. He was very committed to helping me make the deal work and moved things forward with rapidity. We came to "Yes" and I was using the unit 24 hours later. A side note: After my first visit to the Bloomington store, I had them place a hold on one of two machines in stock while I considered things to be sure I was ready to buy. A freak lighting strike during a severe storm set the building on fire and completely gutted the contents.....including the Ventracs that burned on site! Craig kept me informed of everything I needed to know about what they were doing to recover and reopen. It was impressive that evidently Ventrac helped out with restoring inventory to Koenig and fulfilling my purchase just a few weeks after the fire. To sum things up, great staff, great products and great attention to details and follow-through. That is pretty hard to achieve nowadays. My experiences throughout have been refreshingly excellent. The Ventrac is actually far better than I hoped. They have great solutions for dozens of tasks for professionals and land owners. The videos are very convincing and the performance is real.
