Municipalities
Salt is heavy, corrosive and always needed at 4 a.m. A municipal yard machine has to fill tandems fast under a low shed roof, then switch to pallets, pipe and brush the rest of the year. We outfit public works crews across Ohio and Indiana for exactly that swing.

Salt sheds have low clearance and tight turns, so bucket capacity alone does not decide the machine. A compact wheel loader gives you the reach to clear a tandem sideboard, the breakout to bite a crusted pile, and the roading speed to move between yards without a trailer. The 244 P-Tier and 304 G-Tier are the common fit for a single-shed yard. The 324 P-Tier suits bigger piles and multi-truck mornings.

Salt is three months of work for a machine you own all twelve. A skid steer earns its keep moving pallets of signs, castings and water meters, setting culvert, and running a broom or grapple through storm cleanup. Pallet forks make the yard itself run better. The 320 P-Tier and 324 P-Tier handle most municipal yards, and the 330 P-Tier steps up when you are loading heavier material.

Public works does not stop at the curb line. Ballfields, retention basins, berms and soft shoulders punish a wheeled machine, and tracks spread the weight so you are not repairing what you just drove across. A compact track loader also holds its footing on a wet salt apron. The 325 P-Tier and 331 P-Tier are the practical middle for most crews, with the 333 P-Tier for heavier grading and attachment work.

Every machine here earns its place on the trailer. Tell us the job and we will spec the shortest kit that covers it.

Your primary loading machine for the salt shed and material bins. High-capacity bucket, good dump clearance over a tandem, and enough speed to road between facilities.
244 P-Tier · 304 G-Tier · 324 P-Tier

A smaller frame for crowded yards, narrow shed doors and sidewalk-width work. Easy for rotating operators to pick up.
184 G-Tier · 204 G-Tier

Handles the yard itself: pallets, castings, signs, bagged material and deliveries off the back of a truck. Swaps to broom, grapple or bucket in minutes.
318 P-Tier · 320 P-Tier · 324 P-Tier · 330 P-Tier

For turf, shoulders, basins and soft ground where a wheeled machine leaves ruts you have to fix later. Also steady on a wet or icy apron.
317 P-Tier · 325 P-Tier · 331 P-Tier · 333 P-Tier · 335 P-Tier

For water line breaks, catch basins, culvert replacement and utility locates. Pairs with a loader so one crew digs and one hauls spoil.
26 P-Tier · 35 P-Tier · 50 P-Tier · 60 P-Tier
For pure salt loading inside a shed, a compact wheel loader is usually the better buy because of dump height, cycle speed and the ability to road between yards. A compact track loader makes more sense if the same machine has to work turf, shoulders and basins the rest of the year. Many yards end up with one of each.
Salt is hard on any machine, and the answer is rinsing, greasing and a real wash-down routine rather than a special model. We will walk your crew through the service points that matter most in a salt environment. We stock parts for these machines and our technicians are trained on them.
Yes. We will arrange a demo on your site so your operators can run the machine in your actual shed, with your actual pile and truck heights. That tells you more about clearance and cycle time than any spec sheet.
It can. Around 15% of the operators we work with bought used, usually as a second machine that backs up the primary loader during a storm. We will give you honest advice on whether a used unit fits the hours you plan to put on it.
Send the acreage, the access and the schedule. We will spec the shortest kit that covers the work and price it new or used. Family-owned in Ohio and Indiana since 1904.
