Livestock operators
Fence work never happens on flat, dry ground. It happens on a sidehill in April with a wire spool, a bucket of clips and stock waiting on the other side. We set up livestock operators across Ohio and Indiana with a three-point digger, the tractor to run it and a Gator to check the line after.

A post hole digger is only as good as the hydraulics and rear weight behind it. Our 5E and 5M utility tractors have the three-point capacity and low-end torque to keep an auger turning through clay and rock without stalling out. On smaller paddocks and tighter corners, a 3032E or 3038E handles line posts fine. We size the tractor to your soil and your post diameter, not to a brochure.

Nobody wants to open four gates in a pickup twice a day. A Gator XUV crossover gets across wet ground, hauls mineral, insulators and a roll of wire, and leaves less rut than a truck does. The diesel 875M pulls steady on grades and shares fuel with the tractor. If you check stock through January, an HVAC cab changes what the job feels like at daylight.

About 40% of the operators we work with already run a loader, and on fence days it earns its place. Set a pallet of posts at the far corner, carry the wire spools, pull an old brace out of the ground. A 520M or 540M on a 5 Series moves material so your crew is not walking supplies down the line. Pair it with a bale spear and the same loader feeds stock the rest of the week.

Every machine here earns its place on the trailer. Tell us the job and we will spec the shortest kit that covers it.

Frontier three-point post hole diggers bore clean, consistent holes for line posts, corner braces and gate posts. Auger sizing is matched to your post diameter and soil.

It depends more on your soil and auger size than on acreage. Heavy clay and 12 inch augers want the weight and hydraulic capacity of a 5 Series, while sandy ground and smaller line posts are comfortable for a 3032E or 3038E. Tell us what you are drilling into and we will size it honestly.
If you already keep diesel on the farm, the XUV 875M Diesel simplifies fueling and pulls well on grades with a loaded bed. Gas models like the XUV 845M start easier in cold weather and cost less up front. Both handle daily pasture rounds.
For operators checking stock through Ohio and Indiana winters, it usually is. An HVAC cab means you actually make the second round on a bad day instead of putting it off. We can set one up beside an open model on your place so you can compare.
Yes. We stock parts for these tractors, Gators and Frontier implements, and our technicians are trained on them. Koenig has been local and family-owned since 1904, and we will bring a machine to your farm for a demo so you can try it on your own ground first.
Send the acreage, the access and the schedule. We will spec the shortest kit that covers the work and price it new or used. Family-owned in Ohio and Indiana since 1904.
