Is the John Deere ZTrak Z515E right for you?

Most Customers comparing these two machines are cutting somewhere between one and three acres, want a reliable zero-turn that holds up season after season, and are trying to decide whether the extra name recognition of John Deere is worth it. Here is what the specs actually tell you. The Z515E moves at up to 8 mph versus the Cub Cadet's 7 mph, which adds up to real time savings on larger properties. The drive tires are also wider on the Z515E at 22x9.5-10 compared to 20x12-8 on the ZT2 60, giving you better ground contact and a more stable cut on uneven terrain. And if you want flexibility in deck size, the Z515E gives you a choice between a 54-inch and 60-inch Accel Deep deck, while the Cub Cadet locks you into 60 inches.

The Cub Cadet does carry a longer frame warranty and no hour limit on its three-year coverage, so that is worth knowing. But the Z515E counters with a four-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, and when something does need attention, you have a Koenig service team across Indiana and Ohio that stocks genuine John Deere parts and knows these machines inside and out. Resale value on John Deere equipment also tends to hold stronger over time, which matters when you are ready to trade up.
