Is the John Deere ZTrak Z380R right for you?

The Customer looking at a battery-powered zero-turn in this class is usually someone who wants to ditch the gas can, cut down on noise, and still get through a half-acre to an acre without babysitting a charge meter. That is exactly where the Z380R separates itself. Its 7.12 kilowatt-hour battery is more than twice the capacity of the Toro's 3.24 kilowatt-hour pack, which means you are far less likely to run out of power mid-lawn on a larger property. The Z380R also carries an IP66-rated sealed battery, so rain, dust, and a stray sprinkler head are not a concern. The Toro does charge faster with its separate 1200-watt charger versus the Z380R's onboard 700-watt unit, so if quick turnaround between cuts matters to you, that is worth noting.

Beyond the battery story, the Z380R's Accel Deep deck is a proven design built to move clippings efficiently, and the high-back seat with armrests at 20 inches gives you a noticeably more comfortable ride than the Toro's 19-inch gaming-style seat on longer mowing sessions. The five-year battery warranty also outlasts the Toro's three-year coverage, which matters when the battery is the most expensive component on the machine.

Resale, genuine parts on the shelf, and a local service team who knows these machines are real advantages when something eventually needs attention. Stop in and let one of our Koenig stores across Indiana and Ohio walk you through the Z380R in person.
