Spec Comparison

John Deere ZTrak Z355E vs. CRAFTSMAN Z5600

A straight, spec-by-spec look for lawn buyers across Ohio and Indiana. The numbers are only half the decision.

Is the John Deere ZTrak Z355E right for you?

The Customer looking at a residential zero-turn in this class is usually someone with a half-acre to two acres who wants to cut mowing time down and get a clean, consistent result without a lot of fuss. They are weighing price, comfort, and whether the machine will still be running well five or six years from now. The Craftsman Z5600 does show a few numbers that look good on paper: one extra horsepower, a taller seat back, a 50-inch deck, and a longer warranty term. Those are real, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Where the Z355E earns its place is in the details that matter at the end of a long mowing season. The wider front caster tires (13x5-6 versus 11x6-5) and the larger drive tires (20x9-10 versus 20x8-8) give you better ground contact and stability on uneven turf. The Accel Deep deck is a proven design built to move grass efficiently, and the optional MulchControl attachment gives you a genuine mulching upgrade when you want it, rather than a basic included system. John Deere also backs this machine with a genuine parts network and service technicians at Koenig stores across Indiana and Ohio, which matters when you need the mower running on a Tuesday, not waiting on a shipped part.

If you want to put both machines side by side and talk through what fits your property and your budget, stop in and see us at your nearest Koenig location. We are glad to walk you through it.
