Is the John Deere Gator XUV835E right for you?
The Customer shopping in this space usually has real work to do: pulling a loaded trailer across a farm, hauling feed or firewood, or moving equipment around a large property where a breakdown means a lost half-day. The XUV835E brings 54 hp to that conversation, and Kawasaki does not publish a comparable horsepower figure for the Mule PRO-FX, so right out of the gate you have a power advantage you can actually feel when you are towing. And that towing gap is significant: 4,000 lb on the Gator versus 2,000 lb on the Mule. If you ever pull a loaded stock trailer or a skid steer attachment, that difference is not theoretical.
The Kawasaki does edge the Gator slightly on front suspension travel, and we will be straight with you about that. But the XUV835E counters with adjustable coil shocks front and rear plus a rear sway bar, which means you can tune the ride for your specific load and terrain rather than accepting a fixed setup. The fuel tank is also 42.4 liters versus 29.9 on the Mule, so you are covering more ground between stops on a long day.
