A straight, spec-by-spec look for gator buyers across Ohio and Indiana. The numbers are only half the decision.
The Customer looking at a side-by-side in this class is usually someone who needs a real workhorse around a property, farm, or job site, not just a way to get from point A to point B. They are hauling feed, towing trailers, crossing rough ground, and they need the machine to hold up without babysitting it. The XUV560 brings 16 hp against the Club Car's 13 hp, and that extra power shows up when you are climbing a grade with a loaded box or pulling a trailer. Both machines tow the same 1,100 lb, but the Gator gets there with more engine in reserve.
Where the XUV560 really separates itself is the suspension and four-wheel drive system. Fully independent front and rear with 8 inches of travel and adjustable coil-over shocks on both ends is a meaningful step up from the Club Car's MacPherson strut front and semi-independent rear. Add a dash-lever 4WD with a limited-slip front differential and a locking rear differential, and you have a machine built to handle genuinely uneven terrain. The Club Car's auto-locking front differential is simpler, and simpler is not always better when conditions get serious. The Club Car does edge out the Gator on cargo box volume and payload by a small margin, so if flat-ground hauling capacity is the only priority, that is worth noting honestly.
For most Customers, though, the combination of more power, better suspension, and a more capable 4WD system tips the scales toward the XUV560, and that is before you factor in John Deere parts availability and the Koenig service network across Indiana and Ohio. Talk with your local Koenig team and we can walk you through the right configuration for your property.
