A straight, spec-by-spec look for gator buyers across Ohio and Indiana. The numbers are only half the decision.
The Customer looking at the XUV 825i is usually someone who needs a side-by-side to do real work, not just cover ground. They are hauling feed, pulling equipment, or moving material across a farm or large property, and they need a machine that keeps up without babying it. The 825i brings 50 hp to that conversation, and Honda simply does not publish a comparable power figure for the Pioneer 700. That power advantage matters when you are loaded to the full 1,000 lb cargo capacity or pulling at the 1,500 lb tow rating, because you have headroom left in the engine instead of pushing its limits.
Where Honda does edge ahead is rear suspension travel, 9.1 inches versus 9.0 on the Gator, and a slightly larger fuel tank. Those are honest differences, but they are narrow. What the XUV 825i gives back is on-demand true four-wheel drive, adjustable coil suspension front and rear, and a two-speed oil-bath final drive built for sustained load work. The Pioneer's hydraulic torque converter is smooth on trails, but the Gator's drivetrain is engineered for the kind of repetitive, heavy-use cycles that farm and property work demands.
If any of this lines up with how you plan to use the machine, the best next step is a conversation with your local Koenig team. We can walk you through the build options, talk through financing, and make sure you are set up with parts and service support across our stores in Indiana and Ohio.
