Is the John Deere Gator TS 4x2 right for you?

The Customer looking at the Gator TS 4x2 is usually someone who needs a dependable workhorse for the farm, property, or job site — hauling feed, moving tools, or keeping up with daily chores. They want something simple, tough, and easy to keep running without a lot of fuss. The Gator TS delivers on that. Its cargo box is noticeably larger than the Mule SX — 39.5 by 49 inches versus 35.6 by 40.9 — and it carries 500 lb versus the Mule's 399 lb. That extra capacity adds up fast when you are loading bags of seed or equipment parts. The Gator also holds more fuel, 5 gallons to the Mule's 4.2, so you are making fewer stops on a long day.

The Mule SX does tow more, 1,100 lb to the Gator's 900 lb, and that is worth acknowledging. But for most Customers doing general property work, the Gator's fully enclosed oil-bath final drive is a real advantage — it is built to run clean and last longer with less maintenance attention than an open drivetrain setup.

Beyond the specs, you are buying into the Koenig service network across Indiana and Ohio, with genuine John Deere parts on the shelf and technicians who know this machine. Come talk with our team and we will help you figure out if the Gator TS is the right fit for how you work.
