Spec Comparison

John Deere Gator RSX860E vs. KAWASAKI TERYX

A straight, spec-by-spec look for gator buyers across Ohio and Indiana. The numbers are only half the decision.

Is the John Deere Gator RSX860E right for you?

The Customer looking at the RSX860E is usually someone who works their property hard and wants a machine that can keep up with a full day's worth of hauling, towing, and rough terrain without beating them up in the process. They're weighing ride quality, real pulling power, and long-term reliability. The RSX860E answers all three. With 62 hp on the table and a published number from Kawasaki that simply isn't there for comparison, the Deere gives you a clear, honest picture of what you're buying. Add 9 inches of Fox shock travel front and rear versus 8 inches on the Teryx, and you feel that difference the moment you leave a smooth trail.

The Teryx does carry a 100-pound edge in cargo box capacity, and we won't pretend otherwise. But the RSX860E pulls 200 more pounds on a trailer, holds a larger cargo box by volume, and runs a front anti-roll bar that the Teryx doesn't list. For most Customers, towing a loaded trailer to the back forty matters more than that last 100 pounds in the bed.

Beyond the specs, you're buying into the Koenig service network across Indiana and Ohio, genuine John Deere parts on the shelf, and a machine that holds its resale value. Stop in and let one of our team members walk you through it in person.

The spec sheet is only half the decision

People buy an experience and a partner they trust, not just a machine. With Koenig you also get:

  • Performance Edge maintenance — scheduled service, multi-point inspections, genuine John Deere parts, priority scheduling; the 4-year plan adds a year of warranty.
  • Parts and service ecosystem — genuine parts, warranty support, certified technicians, and online scheduling.
  • Total cost of ownership — John Deere durability, resale value, and uptime often win over the life of the machine.
  • A local partner across Ohio and Indiana — a team you can build a relationship around for the life of the equipment.
Specifications are subject to change and were accurate at time of publication. Engine power for non-Deere machines is provided by that engine manufacturer. See your local Koenig Equipment store for complete details.
