Is the John Deere Gator RSX860E right for you?

The Customer looking at the RSX860E is usually someone who needs a side-by-side that genuinely works as hard as it plays. Maybe you're hauling feed, pulling a spreader, or covering a lot of ground on a large property. The Can-Am Commander 800 does have a horsepower edge at 71 hp versus the Gator's 62 hp, and it picks up an extra inch of suspension travel front and rear. Those are real numbers, and we won't pretend otherwise. But when you look at everything else on the sheet, the RSX860E pulls ahead in the ways that matter most for that kind of daily use.

Start with the cargo box: the Gator carries 500 lb in a single, full-size bed with published dimensions you can plan around. The Commander splits its capacity between an upper and lower section, 400 lb and 200 lb respectively, which limits what you can actually load in one pass. The Gator also holds 7.4 gallons of fuel compared to the Commander's 10-liter tank, so you're refueling less often on long days. Add true locking 4WD with an electronic locking front differential versus the Commander's Visco-Lok automatic system, and you have more predictable, driver-controlled traction when conditions get serious.

Beyond the specs, buying a Gator through Koenig means genuine John Deere parts, factory-trained technicians, and service support at stores across Indiana and Ohio. When a machine goes down during a busy season, that local relationship matters more than any single spec line. Stop in and talk with our team about how the RSX860E fits your specific operation.
