Is the John Deere E170 - 48 right for you?

Most Customers looking at this class of mower own a half-acre to a full acre, want a reliable machine they can hand off to anyone in the household, and are not looking to spend a lot of time reading a manual. The E170 and the Simplicity Regent 2548 are genuinely close on paper, which is why the details matter. Both put out 25 hp and cut a 48-inch swath, so neither one has a raw power or size advantage. Where the E170 pulls ahead is in the rear tire footprint, a 22x9.5-12 versus the Regent's 22x10-8, which gives you a deeper sidewall and better traction on uneven or sloped ground. The two-pedal hydrostatic control is also more intuitive for occasional operators than a single-foot setup.

The Simplicity does carry a longer warranty on paper, three years to John Deere's two, and that is worth acknowledging. But a warranty is only as useful as the dealer behind it. With Koenig stores across Indiana and Ohio, you have local technicians who know the E170, stock genuine John Deere parts, and can get you back on the lawn quickly when it counts.
