A straight, spec-by-spec look for cut buyers across Ohio and Indiana. The numbers are only half the decision.
When a Customer is deciding between the 4066M Heavy Duty and the 4052M Heavy Duty, they are usually someone who already knows they want a compact utility tractor with real muscle behind it. Maybe they are running a loader, a finish mower, a tiller, or a box blade on ground that does not always cooperate. The question they are really asking is whether the extra horsepower is worth it for their operation. Both tractors share the same wheelbase, the same hitch categories, the same hydraulic flow numbers, and the same eHydro transmission, so the platform is essentially identical. What changes is what that platform can do under load.
The 4066M puts out 65 gross horsepower compared to the 4052M's 51.5, and that gap shows up even more clearly at the PTO: 51.9 hp versus 40.9 hp. If you are running a mid-size rotary cutter, a three-point tiller in heavier soil, or a hydraulic wood splitter with any regularity, that 11-horsepower PTO advantage is not theoretical. It is the difference between working at a comfortable pace and lugging the engine. For Customers who are on the fence, we usually say this: if you are consistently working implements near the top of what the 4052M can handle, the 4066M gives you headroom you will use every single time.
Both are solid machines, and if your workload genuinely fits within the 4052M's output, we will tell you that honestly. But if you want to talk through your specific implements and acreage, stop by any of our stores across Indiana and Ohio and we can walk through it together.
