Spec Comparison

John Deere 4052M HST/PRT vs. KUBOTA L4760 GST, HST, HSTC

A straight, spec-by-spec look for cut buyers across Ohio and Indiana. The numbers are only half the decision.

John Deere 2032R Compact Tractor

Is the John Deere 4052M HST/PRT right for you?

The Customer shopping in this class is usually running a mid-size property or small farm operation, maybe 50 to 150 acres, and they need a compact utility tractor that can handle loader work, finish mowing, and a rotating cast of Category 1 implements without skipping a beat. They are weighing price, reliability, and whether the dealer down the road will actually pick up the phone when something goes wrong. The 4052M answers those questions well. It puts out 50.8 gross horsepower against the Kubota's 49, and more importantly, its implement hydraulic flow comes in at 11.2 gpm compared to the L4760's 9.4 to 9.8 gpm depending on transmission choice. That extra flow is real and noticeable when you are running a loader or a hydraulic top-and-tilt on a three-point implement. The steering hydraulics tell the same story: 6.2 gpm on the Deere versus 4.7 to 4.9 gpm on the Kubota.

We will be straight with you: the Kubota does edge the Deere on hitch lift capacity, 2,760 pounds versus 2,500, and its wheelbase is slightly longer. If you are regularly lifting very heavy rear implements, that is worth noting. But for the vast majority of Customers in this segment, hydraulic flow and engine output matter more day to day than those margins. The PowrReverser transmission on the 4052M is also a strong fit for loader work, giving you smooth direction changes without the fatigue of a clutch pedal on long days.

Beyond the specs, Koenig has stores across Indiana and Ohio, which means genuine John Deere parts and trained technicians are close by when you need them, not weeks away on a backorder. Resale on Deere compact utility tractors in this region holds up well, too. If any of this sounds like your situation, come talk with us and we can walk through exactly how the 4052M fits your operation.
