So for the work most of these Customers are actually doing, the 4044M is not a compromise.

The 4066R does carry a real power advantage at 65 hp and significantly higher PTO output, and if a Customer is running a large rotary cutter on tough ground or pulling heavier implements regularly, that extra power matters. The 4066R also comes standard with cruise control and a cab option, which the 4044M does not offer. But for a Customer whose workload fits within the 4044M's range, those features add cost without adding value to their day.
