John Deere 3025D vs. KUBOTA L3301 GST

A straight, spec-by-spec look for cut buyers across Ohio and Indiana. The numbers are only half the decision.

Is the John Deere 3025D right for you?

The Customer looking at this comparison is usually someone who needs a compact tractor that can genuinely work, not just mow. They are running a loader, a box blade, maybe a finish mower or a tiller, and they want a machine that handles all of it without feeling underpowered on the hitch. The Kubota L3301 GST does carry more engine horsepower and more PTO output, and we will not pretend otherwise. But here is what the spec sheet is telling you if you read past the top line: the 3025D lifts 2,081 pounds at the hitch versus 1,435 pounds for the Kubota. That is nearly 650 pounds more lift capacity, and for most of the work our Customers are doing around here, that number matters far more than a few extra horsepower at the engine.

The 3025D also ships with an 8-forward, 8-reverse synchromesh shuttle shift transmission compared to the Kubota's 8-forward, 4-reverse setup. More reverse gears means more control when you are working tight spaces with a loader or backing into a shed. Add in John Deere's genuine parts availability through our stores across Indiana and Ohio, factory-backed uptime support, and the resale value that a green-and-yellow machine holds in this region, and the picture gets clearer.

If you want to put your hands on one and talk through how it fits your specific operation, stop in and see us. Our team is straightforward about what works and what does not, and we would rather get you into the right machine than the wrong one.
