A straight, spec-by-spec look for cut buyers across Ohio and Indiana. The numbers are only half the decision.
Most Customers looking at this size tractor are running a small farm or a larger property where they need a loader, a finish mower, and maybe a tiller or box blade in the rotation. The question we hear a lot is whether the 3025D or the 3025E makes more sense, and honestly it comes down to how hard you plan to work the hitch. The 3025D delivers 20.7 hp at the PTO compared to 17.4 hp on the 3025E, and its rear hitch lifts 2,081 pounds versus 1,356 on the 3025E. That is a meaningful gap when you are moving a loaded box blade or running a heavier rotary cutter through thick material.
The 3025E does have a hydrostatic transmission, which some Customers prefer for loader work because you can feather your speed without touching a gear lever. That is a fair point. But the 3025D's 8-speed synchromesh shuttle shift gives you more defined gear choices for field work, and the stronger PTO and hitch numbers mean you are not leaving capability on the table when you hook up implements. The 3025E edges the 3025D slightly on implement hydraulic flow and steering flow, but those margins are small enough that most Customers will never notice them in day-to-day use.
If your work leans toward heavier implements and you want every horsepower at the PTO, the 3025D is the more capable tool for that job. Stop in and talk with our team at any of our stores across Indiana and Ohio and we can walk through your specific setup to make sure you leave with the right tractor.
