Is the John Deere 1023E right for you?

The Customer looking at a sub-compact like the 1023E is usually someone with a few acres to manage, maybe a hobby farm, a large rural property, or a landscaping setup where they need a machine that can handle mowing, loader work, and a rear implement without a lot of fuss. They are weighing price against long-term confidence, and that is exactly where this comparison gets interesting. The 1023E edges out the KIOTI CS2210 on gross engine power (21.5 hp versus 21.1 hp) and carries a meaningfully higher lift capacity at 758 lb compared to 700 lb behind the link arms. That extra lift matters when you are moving a loaded bucket or hanging a heavier rear attachment. The 1023E also sits on a longer wheelbase, which translates to a more stable, planted feel during loader work or on uneven ground.

We will be straight with you: the KIOTI does show a higher rated PTO output on paper. If running a heavy PTO-driven implement at full load is your primary use, that is worth noting. For most Customers in this class, though, the loader and hitch work carry the day, and the 1023E holds the advantage there. The Deere also publishes its hydraulic flow figures at 3.5 gpm for both steering and implement circuits, while the KIOTI lists none, which makes it harder to compare apples to apples when you are spec-ing attachments.
